Offsite detention for the Core Area will <br />be behind solids handling area. <br /> <br />If Council wants properties out of the flood plain, 40 50 trapezoidal swales will <br />be created to convey the water without flooding other properties. <br /> <br />Update/Discussion Louisville/Superior Joint Utilities Operations <br />Louisville staff, Superior staff and the consulting firm Dewberry Engineers have <br />explored the feasibility of cost savings through consolidation of two independent <br />municipal water and wastewater systems. <br />water interconnect and $18 million in Wastewater Treatment Facility <br />capacity at the Water Treatment Plant. The Wastewater Treatment Plant needs <br />$26.1 million in upgrades to meet Compliance Schedule and Regulation 85. <br /> <br />Integration will optimize the use of existing facilities for both municipalities and <br />reduce capital expenditures. <br /> <br />Alternative scenarios presented in the packet were discussed. It would be timely <br />to get necessary pipe in the ground during US36 construction.
