Call to order —Co -chair Neal Griggsmiller called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />II. Roll call —Board members present: Shelly Alm, Neal Griggsmiller, Erik <br />Gustafson, Mark Newland, Ellen Toon, Beverlee White. Board member absent: <br />Mike Frontzcak. Staff member present: Chris Lichty. City Council member <br />present: Susan Loo. Guest: Justine Vigil- Tapia, Louisville Sustainability Advisory <br />Board. <br />III. The agenda was approved by all members, with the removal of items IX and X. <br />IV. The minutes from the Sept. 4, 2014 meeting were approved. <br />V. Public Comment on Items not on the Agenda —Susan reported that the residential <br />development at Hutchinson and Roosevelt streets has been approved by Council, <br />including the dedication of property for a small park. The developer has agreed to <br />provide $4500 for park maintenance. HFAB would like to review the landscape <br />plan again. Susan also commented on the rebuilding of County Road bridge and <br />the upcoming public meeting on November 18. She announced that Council <br />has approved the 2015 budget, which includes funding for the initial stage of <br />restrooms at the Arboretum. <br />VI. LSAB Guest -- Justine presented an overview of LSAB's project to develop a <br />Sustainability Roadmap for the City of Louisville. She noted that sustainability <br />goals encompass environmental, economic, energy, and social concerns. LSAB <br />welcomes discussion and feedback from HFAB and individuals, and can be reached <br />through kerryh@louisvilleco.gov. Justine also reported that the planned community <br />gardens project at Griffith and Garfield streets is progressing, with the next step <br />being a review by a professional engineer. <br />VII. Coal Creek Golf Course tree planting —Chris reported that tree planting will begin <br />in the spring of 2015. The golf course architect has been in contact with residents <br />of adjacent homes to determine the placement of some of the trees.
