Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />November 17, 2014 <br />Page 9 of 10 <br />More discussion ensued in regards to public comment allowance. <br />Committee Reports — <br />Fahey stated the historic walking tour brochures have been printed and are available for <br />public release. <br />Update on Demolition Requests - : 620 Jefferson, 929 LaFarge, 556 LaFarge <br />Trice presented the following: <br />620 Jefferson — replace roof on shed; subcommittee released the request <br />929 Lafarge — replace the roof of the garage; subcommittee released the request <br />556 Lafarge — after the fact permit to replace the roof of two structures; subcommittee <br />released the request because the roofing material was not historic. <br />Stewart doesn't believe we need a subcommittee to review a roof material replacement. <br />Trice stated we would need to amend 15.36. She stated she will speak with the City <br />Attorney regarding this item. <br />Update on Alteration Certificate Requests — none <br />Discussion /Comments on Planning Department Referrals — <br />Acme Mine Archaeology Update <br />Trice presented the information presented in the packet. She stated the archaeologist <br />found a few glass and metal items, but will continue to monitor the property during <br />construction. <br />Haley stated she had heard longtime residents used to dump junk in the mine shaft. <br />Items from Staff — <br />Rescheduling January and February meetings <br />Trice presented optional dates. <br />The board approved the optional dates. <br />Items from Commission Members — <br />Fahey asked what happened to the arch over the door at Casa Alegre. <br />Trice stated staff is working with the owner on this issue. <br />Fahey asked if staff has discussed the HPF possibilities for the property. <br />
