Applicant Presentation and questions from the Board to the applicant: John Gstalder, applicant, gave a detailed description of what the project will involve: • Addition will allow them to expand existing Old Louisville Inn • The building was preserved by the previous owner, Garrett McCarthy, but the new owners would like to expand the use to allow for more seating and for update restrooms. • The addition will also provide additional shoring for the existing historic structure. • The existing structure will be further preserved and the new addition will be designed to complement the existing historic structure. • Following the recent heavy rains, we did not see any flooding in this area and there is no evidence of this structure flooding within the 106 years the structure has been in existence. • He then gave details of the addition. Public Hearing Closed / Board Discussion: Stuart stated he agreed with staff, all criteria had been met. Ewy stated the key piece was the existing structure is considered a local historical structure and the finished floor is currently a half foot above the base flood elevation. Malmquist stated the criteria are clear and the recent flood did not create any issues, the addition should not change any of the existing conditions. Malmquist made a motion to approve. Stuart seconded the motion.
