The EnvisionLouisvilleCO <br />Web sites comments were as follows: Better bike and pedestrian connections; <br />automobile traffic is worse; varying opinions on development and lacking small town <br />character and sense of community. <br />At the kick -off meeting participants were given colored dots and asked to place green <br />dots on areas they liked, red dots on areas they disliked and blue dots for areas for <br />immediate change. <br />In the small group discussions participants discussed the following topics: Community <br />oriented businesses; Should be more of a destination; Better bike and pedestrian <br />connections; Not well integrated with Louisville; Acts as a barrier between <br />neighborhoods; Traffic and railroad impacts and better sense of community and small <br />town feel. All the information was included in the SWOT Analysis as follows: <br />COUNCIL QUESTIONS <br />Council member Keany inquired how the terms "internal" and "external" relate to the <br />strengths and weaknesses. Planner II Robinson explained the City has more control <br />over the internal factors, but not over the external factors. Planning and Building <br />Safety Director Russ explained the strengths are in the ownership of the parks, <br />pedestrian bike connections.
