Tom Phare, Public Works Director, stated that the City is building its alleys with 4" of asphalt overlay <br />on 8" - 10" of gravel, because of the more frequent use of the alleys by the refuse trucks. For the lane <br />he felt 4" of asphalt on 4" - 8" of gravel, depending on the soil conditions, would be adequate. <br /> <br />Mayer suggested they go with Phare's asphalt suggestion of 4" of asphalt on 4" - 8" of gravel. <br /> <br />Davidson asked the size of the homes to be built. <br /> <br />Geier stated that they would average 2,500 s.f., with none over 3,000 s.fi <br /> <br />Wood stated that there would be a 20% maximum lot coverage for each. <br /> <br />Lathrop asked the height of the detached garages. <br /> <br />Geier stated it was roughly 25' maximum with a 12-12 pitch roof. <br /> <br />Lathrop did not like the 25' height on a two-car garage. <br /> <br />Davidson called for any further Council questions. <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />Mayer moved that Council approve Resolution No. 22, Series 1995, Final PUD Development Plan <br />for the Treehaven Subdivision, with the conditions brought by the Planning Commission, and that the <br />private drive be built to the engineering specifications, as specified by the City. Seconded by Howard. <br /> <br />Wood asked if that would include the direction to amend the Subdivision Agreement. <br /> <br />Mayer and seconder, Howard, accepted that. <br /> <br />Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 5 - 1 vote with Davidson voting against and Sisk being <br />excused. <br /> <br />Lathrop made the comment that in the future Council needed to pay more attention to project <br />appearance. <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 23, SERIES 1995 - FINAL PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN CENTENNIAL <br /> MARKETPLACE - PARCEL O, LOT 9 <br /> <br /> Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that Merit Properties, Inc., was requesting to build 9,200 s.f. <br /> of retail building on Lot 9. The brick masonry building would be one-story, 8,800 s.f. footprint, with <br /> a lot coverage of 20% on the .97 acre lot.
