WHEREAS, the Governing Body is cognizant of the conditions that are imposed in the undertaking and carrying out of urban renewal ac- tivities and undertakings with Federal financial assistance under Title I, including those prohibiting discrimination because of race, color, creed, or national origin; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY QE LOUIS- VTLLE, COLORADO: Section 1. That it is hereby found that the Urban Renewal Plan for Louisville, Colorado NDP Area (Colo. A-12) has not been changed, altered or amended since it was approved by this Body in Resolution dated June 6, 1972, and that approval, together with all findings and declara- tions in that Resolution relating to Louisville NDP Area Colo. A-12 and the Urban Renewal Plan therefor, are hereby reapproved. Section 2. That it is hereby found and determined that the finan- cial aid provided and to be provided pursuant to the contracts for Federal financial assistance pertaining to the Program is necessary to enable the Program to be undertaken in accordance with the Urban Re- newal Plans for the areas comprising the Program. Section 3. That in order to implement and facilitate the effectu- ation of the Urban Renewal Plan hereby approved, it is found and deter- mined that certain official action must be taken by this Body with reference, among other things, to the vacating and removal of streets, alleys, and other public ways, the establishment of new street patterns, the location and relocation of sewer and water mains and other public facilities, and other public action, and, accordingly, this Body hereby (a) pledges its cooperation in helping to carry out the Urban Renewal Plan; (b) requests the various officials, departments, boards, and agencies of the Locality having administrative responsibilities in the premises likewise to cooperate to such end and to exercise their respective func- tions and powers in a manner consistent with the Urban Renewal Plan; and (c) stands ready to consider and take appropriate action upon proposals and measures designed to effectuate the Urban Renewal Plan. -3-
