CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, spoke of the communication received prior to the meeting from <br />the Downtown Business Association of Louisville presenting the City with six pairs of banners for <br />the Historic Downtown Main Street. The Downtown Business Association asked for Council's <br />acceptance of the banners. They hoped to have them up prior to the Taste of Louisville. He <br />announced that the May 24 Work Session would be at Karen's in the Country at 6:30 p.m (Boulder <br />County Days with the Boulder County Commissioners). <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Mayer stated that Monday there had been a meeting of local governments in the Denver Metro area <br />with the RTD Board and their staffto foster better communication. He told Council to be thinking <br />of plans they would like to suggest to RTD concerning their plans for Boulder County for next year. <br />He had a Request For Service form for requesting additional RTD service for the area that needed <br />to be turned in by June 15. He commented that RTD possibly will be adding Sunday service to the <br />227 and additional hours on Saturday. Also, at the Consortium of Cities meeting a couple of weeks <br />ago the issue of transportation and mass transit came up. The Consortium should be forming a task <br />force on these issues some time this year. Some preliminary information had been provided by the <br />County's Transportation Planner a couple of months ago. He has a copy of the Boulder County <br />Comprehensive Plan - Transportation Element Update, which shows all of the projects the County <br />feels would be requiring between now and 2020. There is a $250 million price tag for those projects. <br />Also from the Consortium, the County and Louisville Housing Authority, working together, would <br />be coming forward this year with housing projects: The Senior Project on Lincoln and the one by <br />the Lock & Store. <br /> <br />Levihn thanked Tom Phare, Public Works Director, the Street Department, and the Police <br />Department for their work on the on-again/off-again construction on Pine Street. He also asked if <br />there was a way for people to contribute, if they would like to plant trees or bushes on City property. <br />He asked staff to look into that. <br /> <br />Sisk was informed that his meeting with the School Board on the new high school or K8 campus on <br />May 18 had been rescheduled for June 29. Also, he wanted the City to honor by resolution Mr. & <br />Mrs Wendell Hunt who had purchased the lot behind their home in the Enclave, beautifully <br />landscaped it, are maintaining it, and dedicated it to the City as open space. Concerning the meeting <br />last Thursday about the traffic problems at St. Louis Church/School, Sisk complimented Mayor <br />Davidson for keeping the meeting on track and furthering very positive discussions. <br /> <br /> <br />
