Davidson called for Council questions. <br /> <br />Levihn asked if there is an ordinance for public vendors. <br /> <br />Wood explained that it had come up as "intermittent sales" at the Planning Commission and it was <br />felt that it would be best addressed through the business licensing process. He was not sure if it was <br />regulated by ordinance. <br /> <br />Levihn felt there should be some kind of control over temporary public vendors. <br /> <br />Keany moved that Council approve Ordinance No. 1190, Series 1995, set a public hearing for June <br />6, 1995. Seconded by Mayer. All in favor with Howard being absent. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1191, SERIES 1995 - AMENDING CHAPTER 17.56 OF THE <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING FLOODPLAIN ZONING - 1ST <br />READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING 6/6/95 <br /> <br />Tanoue read by title only Ordinance No. 1191, Series 1995, "An ordinance amending Section <br />17.56.070 of the Louisville Municipal Code concerning the official floodplain map and declaring an <br />emergency." <br /> <br />Paul Wood, Planning Director, stated that the purpose of the ordinance was to revise the date of the <br />flood insurance study and rate map from January 1, 1973, to June 2, 1995. He commented that the <br />Planning Department was taking to the Board of Adjustment on May 17, a request for a Floodplain <br />Development Permit for the railroad structure spanning Coal Creek. Boulder County and Urban <br />Drainage and Flood Control District had contracted with Centennial Engineering to submit a <br />conditional letter of map revision. The effect of that is that it will pull about 15 homes out of the <br />flood plain on the north and south side of Rex Street. <br /> <br />Davidson called for Council questions. <br /> <br />Mayer asked for copies of the map for Council. <br /> <br />Sisk was concemed about the June 2 date. He suggested having the public hearing on June 6, 1995. <br /> <br />Lathrop moved that Council adopt Ordinance No. 1191, Series 1995, on first reading and set a public <br />hearing for June 6, 1995.
