Louisville Sustainability Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes:Wednesday, January 21st, 2015 <br />City Hall, 749 MainStreet,SpruceRoom <br />I. Call to Order: <br />The meeting was called to order at 6:30pm by Chair Mary Ann Heaney. New member Jamie Bartlett was introduced, and met the other <br />members and our Staff and Council liaisons. <br />III.Approval of Current-Meeting’s Agenda: <br /> The agenda was approved as-is. <br />V. Public Commentson Items Not on the Agenda: <br /> None presented. <br />VI.Jay’s Update: <br /> In addition to his own monthly City Council update, Jay suggested we also <br />incorporate a City Staff update from Dave S as part of our regular agenda (to start with our Feb-2015 <br />meeting). Jay briefed us on progress at the golf course, and noted the Youth Advisory Board is <br />considering the topic of a new aquatics facility. He briefed us on other options we may have fornew <br />communitygardens, as part of the recently acquired Cottonwood Park. He also mentioned to us that <br />some Council members are concerned with our practice of having a rotating chair andsecretary for <br />each monthly meeting, rather than having those positions set for the calendar year. He asked us to <br />consider whether not having one member selected as our chair for the year may result in less <br />effective communications between Council members, city staff, and city residents, and a single point- <br />of-contact for our board. And he confirmed that our annual study session with City Council is <br />th <br />scheduled for their February 24meeting (one week after our regular Februarymeeting). <br />VII.Approval of posting locations for our 2015 meetings: <br /> We unanimously approved the <br />following as posting locations for our meetings: <br />City Hall, 749 Main St <br />Library, 951 Spruce St <br />Recreation Center, 900 Via Appia <br />Police Dept / Municipal Court, 992 Via Appia <br />City Website: www.LouisvilleCO.gov <br />VIII.Distribution of Open Government & Ethics Pamphlet: <br /> This document was attached as part <br />of the January meeting packet. We had some short discussion of ourrequirementto attend a training <br />session biannually; either Kerry H or Meredyth M from city staff will inform us when we need to <br />attend. <br />IX.Detailed Review of our Sustainability Roadmap Sections: <br /> Justine and Claudia presented their <br />Localization section, David presented the Energy Efficiency section, and Mary Ann and Mark <br />presented the Resource Conservation section.
