open house to present plans and solicit public input at the library on Monday, January 26
from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. All residents are invited to attend.

VII. Posting locations for 2015 meeting notices—all five posting locations were approved.

VIII. Distribution of Open Government and Ethics Pamphlet was completed.

IX. Hutchinson Street development landscape review—Sean addressed HFAB’s concerns
about maintenance and plant selection of the park flower bed. He stated that there were
many factors to weigh during the planning phase (including engineering concerns about
subsidence), but felt that overall there was good communication during the process. He
added that the plant material selected in the plans can be changed if HFAB makes specific
recommendations.

X. DELO (Downtown East Louisville) development landscape review—Justin and Rick
presented an overview of the project and touched on features such as the pedestrian
underpass which will connect the area east of the railroad tracks to downtown Louisville.
The current timeline calls for presentation to the Planning Commission on February 12, and
at City Council meeting in March. Justin stated they welcome comments at any time from
HFAB; also plant material changes can be made later in the process.

XI. Community gardens at Lincoln & Griffith—Dean presented conceptual drawings of the
site. Many questions were raised, including the cost of installing water lines to both sides
of Lincoln Ave.; floodplain building restrictions; effects on adjacent residential
neighborhoods; possible pest and wildlife problems; and who would manage the gardens.
Discussion to be continued.

XII. The meeting was adjourned at 8:35 pm.

Parks and Recreation Department · 749 Main Street · Louisville, CO 80027
(303) 335-4735 · FAX (303) 335-4738
www.louisvilleco.gov

Parks Recreation Senior Services Open Space Forestry Trails Golf
