Strategies for developing phasing of sign implementation:
Implement the system in a clear and recognizable way in the most populated areas of the trail system. This includes the highest parts of the sign hierarchy along the most complete trail routes, namely the minikiosk, the major directional post and the minor directional signs.
Phase 1 signs will address areas of the most wayfinding confusion.
De-prioritization of sign phasing in the perimeter sections of the system (furthest from trails within residential areas), many of which connect to regional connections.
On-street route signage will be included in one phase.
Short, local neighborhood trail connection signage will be included in later phases.
