RZ+aGtu,ni; f;USINESS LOUISVILLE URBAN RENEWAL, AND HOUSING AU'P~~t:~tt i'rY APPOINTMENTS Mayor Fauson appointed two members to the Louisville Urban Renewal and Housing Autht,rity Board: John Stead for a 5-year term and Clair Beckman for a 3-year term. SELECTION OF ART FOR LIBRARY Carolyn Markham gave a brief presentation representing Arts and Humanities council stating they received money for the art in the library and are appointing a nine- member committee to get together to select the art for the library. Ms. Markham asked for a representative from the City Council to serve on the committee to make ~+~rf` i teat they do address all the needs and desires of the community at large. Mayor Fauson asked if anyone on the Council would like to join the committee. Howard volur-leered to be the representative. Mayor Fauson moved and it was seconded that Kev.ir- Howard become the representative. Motion carried 7-0. RESOLUTION PRESENTED BY COUNCILWOMAN HORNBOSTEL: Mayor Fauson opened the Public Hearing and the City Clerk certified notice of sau-4:~ . Mayor Fauson was then reminded of the amended agenda and that the resol -,1 i =:-n was to bc~ discussed before the W-470 hearing. Hornbostel presented a resolution which read, "Whereas the City Council believes in open government, and whereas the ma jc~r i ty of the council was not notified of the January 27 meeting in Broomfield anal ciid not authorize the Mayor to take action as a result of that meeting. Be it resolved in order that our commitment to open government be demonstrated that all City Council members will be notified about future meetings and events that may require Council approval and that City policy will be determined by a majority of t1rc~ ~~t,~urrr~i l 2
