WURL WILDLIFE
SANCTUARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Pete Clemens, 954 W. Alder Street, stated the
citizens of Louisville, Colorado request
approval of a citizens committee to advise
City Council regarding the development and
management of the Harper Lake Leon Wurl
Wildlife Sanctuary. This committee would
serve as a representative voice and contrib-
uting body on behalf of the citizens of
Louisville, Colorado to ensure that the
wildlife sanctuary is properly developed and
managed in accordance with its original
designation as a wildlife sanctuary.
Council felt the concept was a wonderful
idea. Would like to see this happen
throughout the entire city. Would like to
see a citizens group formed for each of the
areas. Suggested that Mr. Clemens work with
Baysinger in setting up this type of concept
for each area and report back to Council.
Howard moved and Davidson seconded, to have
an advisory committee for one year and report
to Baysinger. By Roll Call Vote motion
passed 4-1 with Szymanski voting no.
DIRECTION - PUBLIC MEETINGS - W-470
Phare asked Council for direction regarding
times, locations, etc. for W-470 public
meetings.
Mayor Fauson suggested that this be proposed
to a later date.
