Proof of publication and
notice of public hearing were established by the
City Clerk.
City Attorney explained that this ordinance does
two things, first it puts into place our ordinance
so that the council can issue option premises
licenses which at this time the only applicant is
the Golf Course. The golf course will have events
whereby alcohol will be consumed/available outside
the restaurant or other structure. Without an
optional premises license, the golf course would
have to apply for a special events permit for each
such event. Our code alsa allowed far issuance of
a "Fermented Malt Liquor" license. Since that is
no longer authorized by the state statutes, these
ordinance also delete that from the code.
Mayor Fauson opened the public hearing and asked
if anyone was present that wished to speak to this
Ordinance.
