through the 19th as Police Week and May <br />15th as Police Memorial Day. <br />Leesman gave a brief presentation about <br />the Police Memorial Day and stated <br />Louisville will be represented with the <br />name of Victor Helburg as a law <br />enforcement agent that was killed in the <br />line of duty. <br />PROCLAMATION - NATIONAL ^CEACHER DAY <br />Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 8, 1990 as <br />National Teacher Day. <br />PROCLAMATION - OLDER AMEF2ICANS MONTH <br />Mayor Fauson proclaimed May as Older <br />Americans Month. <br />Mayor Fauson introduced the Seniar <br />Advisory Board. <br />Baysinger showed the council a video <br />tape made by Channel 4 of the senior <br />citizens. <br />PROCLAMATION - NATION DR]:NKING WATER WEEK <br />Mayor Fauson proclaimed May 6-12 <br />National Drinking Water Week. <br />Phare stated if there are any concerns <br />with water please direct questions to <br />the public works department. <br />FUNDING REQUEST - COUNCIL CONTINGENCY #1 - DENVER/BOULDER <br />CORRIDOR MARKETING COALITION <br />Franklin asked direction regarding <br />participation in and funding of <br />public/private multi-jurisdicational <br />marketing effort centered around US 36. <br />If approved the $2,000 would be drawn <br />from city council contingency funds. <br />Carnival stated it would be the <br />recommendation of the Finance Committee <br />to fund the $2,000. <br />Howard moved and Mayor Fauson seconded <br />to fund the coalition project for <br />$2,000.
