The manager for the cable <br />company asked that he be allowed to <br />install the total system at the <br />first of the year. <br />Sackett asked if there was anyway <br />to get out of the cable contract^ <br />Williams stated he has not had a <br />chance to review the contract, but <br />if there are requirement that they <br />are not meeting then we care look at <br />it. <br />Sackett does not feel that they <br />have done a good job, has not given <br />good service to the community, not <br />state of the ark ire equipment. <br />Also asked Williams to look into <br />the contract to see if there is a <br />way to get out. <br />Council asked for an update at the <br />next Council meeting concerning the <br />issues of what the cable company is <br />responsible for and to see if <br />something can be worked out with <br />the company regarding this. <br />OTHER <br />Howard stated that Councilman <br />Carnival and himself participated <br />in a Ward II meeting and was very <br />successful. One thing that was <br />brought up is curb side recycling. <br />Another thing they felt might be <br />needed was to have a vote on the <br />highway issue. <br />Howard stated he has been nominated <br />to serve on the governors math, <br />science and technology committee. <br />If this is approved this would give <br />us a heads up on a 1 of of money <br />available. Also presented to <br />council was a copy of goals for <br />groups around the city. I would <br />like to have staff clean this up <br />and have comments come back and <br />
