Local Licensing Authority Minutes January 26, 2015 Page6of6 Hanson stated the 2015 Open Government and Ethics packet was included in the packet and reminded members the training for board members would likely be held in the spring. Hanson noted the attendance for the December seller /server training was included and thanked the Police Department for this valuable service they provide to the liquor licensees. Authority Attorney's Report No report. Authority Comment and Discussion Items for next meeting Machado inquired, upon reflection of last month's hearing, whether there was a way to have avoided a show cause hearing. Authority members discussed the options and procedures in ordering and conducting show cause hearings. Authority Attorney Gulley noted the Authority could ask the Police Department to do further investigation, but a show cause hearing was really the tool for the Authority to determine if any sanctions were to be imposed on a liquor license. Because the hearing is quasi - judicial, only the evidence presented at the hearing can be considered. Adjourn — Tennessen moved to adjourn. Machado seconded. All in favor. The meeting was adjourned at 8:14 p.m.
