READING - SET PUBLIC HEARING
Griffiths read by title only Ordinance #1034,
Series 1990, "An Ordinance amending section
3.16.020 of the Louisville Municipal Code concern-
ing the capital improvement fee and providing for
a credit against such fee."
Brand: We are requesting that Ordinance X1034, Series
1990 be approved at first reading and set a public
hearing for November 20, 1990.
Howard moved to approve Ordinance #1034, Series 1990 at first
reading and set a public hearing for November 20, 1990, seconded
by Carnival. All in favor.
Sackett asked to be excused from the next agenda item due to a
conflict of interest. Sackett left the room.
DISCUSSION/ACTION - GOLF COURSE FEES; MINER'S CLUB
Baysinger: Prior to establishing the fees for 1990, staff
advised council the fees would be reviewed annual-
ly. Recreation Services Limited, the management
firm operating Coal Creek Golf Course, has
presented staff with options for fees at the
course for 1991. A fee schedule was presented to
Council at this time. One scenario would entail
continuing prime and non-prime time fees for
residents with a one dollar increase. Non-prime
time fees would be eliminated for non-residents
and a flat fee of $9.50 for 9 holes and S15 for 18
holes implemented. This also would allow the City
to give a benefit to residents without having an
adverse effect on the course revenues. This
scenario also provides a Miner's Club for 125
members in 1991. Residents would be given priority
for purchase of the Miner's Club. The benefits
offered in the Miner's Club would include seven
day advance tee times, a shirt and hat,
handicapping and entry into the Annual Miner's
Club tourney scheduled in September.
Carnival moved to increase the fees from $150 to $200 and have
the Miner's Club limited to 150 members, seconded by Szymanski.
By Roll Call Vote Motion Passed 5-0.
Sackett rejoined the meeting.
APPROVAL OF CONTRACT FOR USE OF COMMUNITY BLDG. - ARTS AND
HUMANITIES
Baysinger: Staff was directed to work with the Louisville
5
