A. Acknowledgement of Receipt and Review of Cable TV Questionnaire Brand: In the packet there is copy of the proposed questionnaire on Cable TV. Combo: Has been meeting with Scripps Howard and has come back with what they feel is their recommendation with dealing with the concerns. There has been some trouble drafting the survey which Council did request. Sackett felt that one question that was missing was if people had the choice between pay-for-view or ability to record one channel while watching another. I would like to know which the people would like to have. I want the survey to actually say the question. Sackett recommended that we look at the survey before going out to the public. Davidson asked that they please rate their satisfaction of the over all cable service performance. Howard suggested that question number 10 be looked at. B. Requests from the Louisville Times Brand: Before we were able to get all of the budget books out for the entire Council, Lance Ritchlin with the Louisville Times, came up and asked if he could have the budget. We explained to him that it was not ready yet. As soon as we have it ready and give it to the Council, we will give it to you the same night. His position was that once a document is available that the press is entitled to it. The final documents was not available until the Tuesday night meeting and he did receive a copy of the budget. He was told that if he would like to speak to the Council regarding this matter he speak during Public Comments, which he did not do. He waited until Councilman Davidson came back into town and went to him with regard to not getting the budget. I did not give out the budget to him before you received it. Also I had talked to him about having a table for the press set up during the Council meetings. The table was set up for the press during the Budget work session. He did go to Councilman Davidson. Also Councilman Davidson suggested that I prepare a sanitized version of the Confidential Report from the Water Attorney to give to the press. Carnival asked if we have to do this. Have we talked to our Attorney about confidential reports? I thought Confidential is just that until Council acts on it. Davidson stated there is a lot of interest in town about activity on water. I am only suggesting some way to report to the people that level of activity without releasing any confidential 11
