of money is keeping us from providing good services then we could
use i t .
By Roll Call Vote the Original Motion passed 4-3 with Mayor
Fauson, Carnival and Szymanski voting no.
ACTIVITY: NEW LOCKERS
Davidson: Asked if other alternatives have been looked into.
Baysinger: Suggested not to have anything that does not lock.
The requests that have come in are for the longer lockers.
Davidson withdrew his suggestion to have the lockers removed from
the budget.
ACTIVITY: ADULT RECREATION (TEAMS)
Davidson: Felt that this activity should be self supporting as is
stated in the policy manual. This would be done over a 4 year
period until it is self supporting.
Brand: Stated we did not know where is was and would be looking
at the end of the year to see where it was and make sure it was
self supporting.
Baysinger: Stated that this will be self supporting in time.
Hornbostel: Is there any way that parts of this information can
be given to us?
Davidson withdrew his suggestion to have this item removed from
the budget since there was no way to determine if this is a self
supporting activity.
PUBLIC SAFETY:
ELIMINATE CODE ENFORCEMENT
TRANSFER DUI OFFICER TO PATROL
Leesman: Stated that this position does more than code
enforcement. When an officer if out and something needs to be
taken to the shop the code enforcement officer helps in this
area. Also he covers the desk over the lunch hour part of the
time. If there are radio problems with one of the officers
radios he takes it to the shop. I would purpose that we add
another code enforcement officer to the force.
Davidson withdrew his suggestion to have this item removed from
the budget.
PUBLIC WORKS
ELIMINATE 96TH STREET PLANNING ACTIVITY
8
