Howard: I would suggest that question be gut to them
before having a work session with them, so that
they can think about it befare. I would like to
get a time frame on this.
Mayor Fauson: The overall concept, I have no problem with except
for the use of the Superior Interchange over to
95th. I would not want that to be incorporated in
there. I think for the resolution we should stick
to basics. I am not sure how to do that. I would
like to see it kept as simple as possible.
Hornbostel: I would like to go back the questions that I had.
Can we support the concept of it using existing
roads and open space to support the infrastructure
going to the airport? If we can agree to that, we
can put that in. Would we be willing to support
the use of IGA's to ensure proper land use and
planning? Would we willing to work with the County
in providing parkway easements and setbacks? At
this point I think they were trying to get the
idea from us whether we were willing to work with
them or not. Whether we can support the concept.
Sackett: The IGA's that were mentioned would be used for
all the things that were listed before, and to
ensure limited access and proper speeds?
Hornbostel: Yes, points of access. The idea is to make is
fair for everyone. This is going to be a give and
take situation.
Sackett: I think we should have in there direct information
relating to 96th and 42. I also think Dillon Road
should be improved to where the developers improve
it, from 88th to 96th. Also I am concerned with
287 and Dillon Road. Airport access is important.
It is important that people be able to come from
the airport to Louisville. If we are not careful,
Broomfield will make sure that you always have to
deal with 287 in order to get to Louisville. I
think we need to sit down with Broomfield about
this issue. We need to sit down with the cities
in this area and talk about limited access and how
to maintain the speeds.
Hornbostel: Felt that was too specific for the resolution, but
was probably some of the points that would have to
be worked out at the work session.
Davidson: Agreed with Sackett that IGA's on the subjects
that have been mentioned should be part of the
whole package. I wonder if the resolution we can
have here, could be same general statement of
support.
8
