OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, referred to the notice on the Agenda of the final determination of <br />the possible purchase of land by the City for the purpose of off-street parking. Notice is required by <br />Section 2.92.010 of the Municipal Code. It will be on the July 6 Council Agenda for consideration. <br />The contract for purchase is being prepared. Later this week he and the Mayor will be meeting with <br />representatives of Lafayette and Boulder County to talk about renewing the current <br />Intergovernmental Agreement regarding open space. He had met with Broomfield staff to talk about <br />possible rejuvenation of the Northwest Parkway Agreement and also fixing the boundaries between <br />the two cities, buffering, open space, and a long term agreement. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Davidson commented that due to the weather there are extensive potholes in the streets. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that the Public Works staff is going block by block in old <br />town to assess the cost of repair. <br /> <br />Davidson stated the Council will be starting the process of the six month review of the City <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />Sisk met with the Senior Advisory Board and they invited Council to the fifth year anniversary in the <br />new Senior Citizens Center at the Recreation Center on July 10 at 5:00 p.m. They are short of space <br />in their facility and this will be studied. On the connection of the bike trail between the water <br />treatment plant, west to Annette Brand Park, there is a private driveway across the bike path. There <br />is a long standing easement there and he suggested the problem be studied. <br /> <br />Mayer, in an update on Jefferson County Airport, stated that before Congress is a bill which will <br />reduce the threshold of the number of passengers involved in scheduled airline service, from 30 to <br />10, before major improvements are done. Congressman Skaggs had not taken a position on this yet, <br />but it is believed that he will go along with what the local government entities desire. He had a call <br />from Bruce Williams, Chairman of the Solid Waste Authority, concerning what the City wanted in <br />their Work Session with them with regard to Louisville's inclusion in the Solid Waste Authority.
