NONE

CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT

Susan CnSffiths, City Attorney, referred to a memo regarding McKee vs. Marianne Beveridge, a quite
title action with respect to property located at 936 Jefferson Avenue. Her recommendation was that
Council authorize the Mayor to execute any documents which would recognize that the City had no
interest in the property, which is the subject of the quiet title action, excluding a 6" strip, which was
described in the memo, so long as the McKees appropriately recognized the 6" right-of-way in the
City south of the south edge of the existing sidewalk.

Howard: So moved.

Sisk seconded Howard's motion. All in favor.

CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT

Bill Simmon's, City Administrator, referred to a letter in Council's packet to Mayor Davidson from
Mayor Romero of Lafayette regarding the joint recycling facility for Louisville and Lafayette. The
Louisville Resource Conservation Advisory Board and the Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory
Committee had been working together on the combined recycling facility. Before proceeding further,
they would like to get the endorsement of the Louisville City Council.

Sisk wondered why the operating expenses would be shared equally, if Lafayette will be as large a
city as he thinks they will be and Louisville being the size they are. He felt the expenses should be
shared on a pro rata basis.

Davidson pointed out that the City of Louisville is paying 100% now. He suggested this be for a
period of years and the re-evaluate it.

Mayer was not sure that the current facility was going to be sufficient to handle everything with the
rate at which Lafayette is growing. He wanted some input, given the populations involved, on what
type of facility would be required and would the current one be satisfactory for that.

Simmons had received a notice from the Coal Creek/Rock Creek Trail Corridor Coordinator that the
Burlington Northern Railroad had notified the County that they plan to start construction of the
bridge at Coal Creek on Monday, August 7.

COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS

Davidson stated that the dog-off-lease area on the Mesa is now open. Also, he had received a letter
from the City of Westminster concerning establishing a joint legal fund to oppose passenger service
at Jeffco Airport, which he felt should be discussed at the next Work Session.

13
