Spring 2015 4
Registration begins May 30, both online and in the Library.
The program runs through July 31 and will again be based on
the amount of time that participants spend reading. We also
added components to make it more engaging for participants.
We hope you’ll read with us this summer!
This year's themes are all based on superheroes:
Children: Every Hero Has a Story
Teens: Unmask!
Adults: Escape the Ordinary
liBrary & muSeum newS
imProved liBrary catalog teen tech week march 9 - 14
This spring, Library patrons will have the option to search
for items two ways—with the classic catalog, or with a new
interface that includes new features:
• One search will combine results showing multiple
material formats for an item, available copies, and
where the item is held (including Prospector).
• OverDrive eBooks and other electronic materials can
be searched and checked out right from the catalog!
• Easier access to reviews, as well as integration with
NoveList and NoveList K-8 reader services, which help
patrons discover new materials and even narrow
searching by reading level for kids.
BuSineSS Program
LINKED IN BASICS - WED., MARCH 18 6-8 pM
This presentation will focus on mobilizing your LinkedIn
presence and accessing people, jobs, and business news that
will help you and your career. The
project began in 2010 and was completed in 2014 by a Museum
intern who created the complex records necessary to accompany
the scanned images, making them searchable. Other recent
online additions include 14 reports on the histories of down-
town commercial buildings. All of these items are easily accessed
through the Museum’s or Library’s web page.
