Spring 2015 3
coal creek golf courSe
recovery uPdate
Coal Creek Golf Course is looking forward to a grand
re-opening in late spring 2015. Late winter and early
spring will witness completion of the construction phase
of the project and continuation of the grow-in period. The
City has hired David Dean as Golf Course Superintendent
and David Baril as Head Golf Professional to assist with the
transition from construction/grow-in to re-opening and daily
operations of the golf course. The City has also entered into
a concessionaire agreement with The Mine at Coal Creek to
provide food and beverage services at the golf course.
As construction winds down, it is important for the public
to stay off the golf course for personal safety, to prevent dam-
age to the turf, and to give us every opportunity to promote
grow-in so the course is ready for the grand re-opening. The
City will host an open house and walking tour of the golf
course in April to give anxious golfers and residents a “sneak
peak” and a chance to meet new staff members and our pas-
sionate food and beverage concessionaire.
Stormwater Planning The Public Works Department is working on a
new Stormwater Master Plan and would like
your input on where you have noticed problems in the
system. Do you know of areas on public property where
water backs up in a storm? Some examples of common
drainage problem areas are sidewalks, inlets, parks, and
gutter pans.
Join us Wednesday, April 8, 6 PM (City Hall, 749
Main Street) to learn about the project and let us know
of areas where you have seen issues. You can also contact
Garrett Townsend with any information or to ask ques-
tions (GarrettT@LouisvilleCO.gov or 303.335.4604).
city-wide preservation master planopen house
(all ages welcome)
wednesday, march 11, 2015
6:30pm @ city hall
749 main street
for more information contact lauren trice
laurent@louisvilleco.gov | 303.335.4594
how can I participate?
stop by the open house
March 11
explore assessor cards on
the library
website
share ideas for
historic places
on envision
louisville
co.com
tour Louisville historic
sites (brochure available
at City Hall, Library, and
Museum)
contribute
photos on
instagram #preserve4loco
attend a historic preservation commission
meeting
visit the model of early 20th century louisville at
the Historical Museum
find out about the preservation master plan at
louisvilleco.gov
follow @plan4loco
on twitter &
instagram
the replacement of the sewerline on Johnson Street and in
the alley west of Lafarge Avenue and south of Pine Street.
Several businesses and residents will be affected by this
work and will receive schedule notices in the weeks prior
to construction.
611 Elm Parking Lot Expansion – This project will expand
the existing public parking lot, with work beginning in
May. Construction on
Front Street between Pine Street and South Street will not
commence until the fall.
Additional work will occur throughout town. Some of
these projects include: resurfacing of McCaslin Boulevard
from South Boulder Road to Via Appia, the installation of
two traffic signals: one at Dillon Road and St. Andrews Lane
and one at Paschal Drive and Highway 42, and the construc-
tion of the new bridge on County Road.
If you wish to receive project information or have ques-
tions, please contact Joliette Woodson (303.335.4603 or
JolietteW@LouisvilleCO.gov) and include your name,
mailing address, business (if applicable), email address, and
contact phone number.
conStruction ahead
Continued from page 1
