Library Board of Trustees <br />Meeting Minutes —DRAFT <br />January 8, 2015 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />VII. Trustee Informational Comments on Pertinent Items Not on the Agenda <br />Sherri reported that she had attended the Library Foundation board meeting in November. <br />She noted that fundraising letters for the annual utility bill mailing went out in November. <br />The Library Foundation is also investigating a way to include solicitation in electronic <br />mailings, as Superior does. <br />The Foundation is also investigating more options for fundraising for the Library's new <br />Makerspace. Jeannie noted that the Board may want to consider partnering with the <br />Foundation to raise funds or solicit material donations. Jeannie also mentioned the <br />OhOhTwoSeven social media site for fundraising solicitations. To that end, she will attend the <br />Foundation's upcoming subcommittee meeting for the Makerspace project. <br />Hank provided an update on current City Council activities, and Debra Williams provided an <br />update on Town of Superior government activities. She summarized an extensive discussion at <br />a recent retreat about indoor space in Town Square that includes a flex space for community <br />rooms and a digital library to complement the contract for library services with Louisville. <br />VIII. New Business <br />A. Designate: <br />1) 2015 Locations to Post Notices of Public Meetings <br />IX. <br />The City Manager's Office provided an approved list of locations to post notices, <br />in accordance with the City's Home Rule Charter. The Board unanimously agreed <br />to continue to post meeting notices as follows: <br />• The Louisville City Hall lobby (749 Main Street) <br />• The Louisville Public Library public bulletin board (951 Spruce Street) <br />• The Louisville Recreation Et Senior Center (900 West Via Appia) <br />• The Louisville Police Department Et Municipal Court Building (992 Via Appia) <br />• The City of Louisville Website <br />2) 2015 Schedule of Board Meetings <br />The Board's bi- monthly meeting schedule will remain the second Thursday of odd - <br />numbered months, as follows: <br />• January 8 <br />• March 12 <br />• May 14 <br />• July 9 <br />• September 10 <br />• November 12 <br />A. Distribute: <br />1) 2015 Open Government & Ethics Pamphlet <br />The 2015 pamphlet was distributed to every Board member. <br />
