MINUTES SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW PAGE 4 <br /> <br />In addition, LCC could consider partnering with the restaurants to increase performer <br />pay scale. Finding a way to partner with the Art Walk also could be an option. <br />Lawrence will evaluate budget to consider whether we can allocate funds per series <br />(lecture, Chamber Music, Friday Night LIVE!, etc.) for payment. To be discussed again <br />next meeting. <br />Spending Allowance – For immediate need items (e.g., an extension cord day of event) <br />$50 spending allowance without board approval – motion carried. <br />XIV. Programming Reports <br />Chamber Series: February 15th event only 6 paying guests. Suggestion is that local <br />artists are preferred, as they are known. March 29th is a regional artist; we have a <br />poster done already. Gina is joining the Sunday Chamber committee. <br />Lecture Committee: Colorado Music Hall of Fame lecture (January) was well attended. <br />CO Haiti Project (March 18th) – poster is not ready yet. Writing Workshop will be early <br />April. May 20th – cancelling due to proximity to graduations. <br />Friday Night LIVE!: March 20th – South Platte Syncopators; April 24th – undecided. <br />Angie’s Lit: Onboard, happening as per general discussions with library. <br />Movie Committee: Silent Film, March 28th. April 18th – no movie identified yet. Movie <br />committee needs to meet; Suzanne has a call in to a Director of a documentary on <br />immigrant children. <br />Summer Concerts in the Park: Five concerts are contracted for Thursday nights. <br />Bands: FACE, Rail Splitters, Blues Brothers, Johnny O, Thelonius Smith Trio. Performer <br />budget is currently exceeded by a few hundred. Food last year was handled by <br />Huckleberry; considering alternatives for this year. <br />Marketing Committee: Considering options for comp tickets. Considering providing a <br />handful of comp tickets to each business that agrees to post a poster for an event. For <br />the next events, will post on social media that the first 10 people get a 2 -for-1 ticket. <br />Darin is creating a list of locations accepting posters. <br />Cultural Arts Master Plan event last night was well attended (focus was local <br />artists/musicians). A survey is going out to Arts organizations, and an artist survey is <br />going on the website. Next meeting will focus on arts educators. <br />XV. Sculpture Garden – tabled until next month. <br />XVI. LCC Mission: Angie wants to distribute results of last year’s off -site planning to new <br />Councilors.
