Consent agenda <br />approved. <br />Authority Business <br />A. Election of Officers <br />Carlson called for discussion and nominations. Hughes noted he understood <br />traditionally the Vice -Chair was moved to Chairperson and a nomination made <br />for someone as Vice - Chair. He was in favor of moving Ms. Lipton to Chair and <br />nominated Mr. Machado as Vice - Chair. Lipton noted she would have no <br />objection to Mr. Machado serving as Chair and she would wait and serve at <br />another time since she has served before. She felt it was time to get the new <br />members to serve as officers. She moved to nominate Matt Machado as Chair <br />and David Hughes as Vice - Chair. Mr. Machado and Mr. Hughes accepted the <br />nominations. Tennessen seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Carlson — yes, <br />Lipton — yes, Tennessen — yes, Hughes — yes and Machado — yes. <br />Chairperson Machado presided over the rest of the meeting as Chair. He <br />thanked Chairperson Carlson for his service for the last year. <br />B. Discussion of Rule Changes from State Liquor Enforcement Division <br />Machado noted the Authority had reviewed this matter at the last meeting. <br />Secretary Hanson remarked this was included to get comments from Mr. <br />Carlson. <br />Carlson explained he was part the working group which led to these rules <br />changes. He noted a lot of the suggested changes were clean -up items and an <br />effort to standardize sanctions across the state for compliance checks. He was <br />asked if there was enough flexibility in Louisville's recommended enforcement <br />guidelines to follow the State guidelines if needed. He responded he thought <br />there was. <br />Authority Attorney CuIley noted she had reviewed Louisville's guidelines and <br />noted they are just that, guidelines, and leave the Authority room to impose <br />penalties as they see fit. <br />Machado thought the guidelines worked well and did not need to be changed. <br />No other Authority members asked for changes. <br />C. Set Boundaries of the Neighborhood and Public Hearing on New Hotel <br />and Restaurant Liquor License w/ Optional Premise — The Mine LLC <br />d /b /a The Mine — Golf Course 585 W. Dillon Road <br />Lipton moved the Authority set the Boundaries of the Neighborhood as the City <br />limits of the City of Louisville and set the Public Hearing for March 23, 2015 at <br />7:00 PM. Hughes inquired if there would be enough members of the Authority <br />present at the next meeting to constitute a quorum. A poll of the members was <br />
