Youth Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />3/5/15 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Aquatics Facility- The March 10th City Council Work Session was moved to April <br />14th, so the board has more time to gain support and develop ideas. <br />Joe Stevens, the Director of Parks and Recreation, passed along a magazine <br />called Recreation Management that shared some ideas of what the aquatics <br />facility could include, and some of the price ranges. <br />Isabella brought some ideas, not dissimilar to Mr. Stevens’, which included some <br />amenities that the pool could have as well as advertising opportunities for local <br />businesses. <br />Many ideas were discussed, including: <br /> Nite at the Pool <br /> Food Truck Night <br /> Basketball <br /> Ideas of APEX in Arvada <br /> Mining Equipment Jumping <br /> Indoor vs. Outdoor <br /> Half Indoor and Half Outdoor <br /> Indoor to Outside Slides <br /> Outside to Inside Slides <br /> Roundabout Entrances <br /> Lazy Rivers <br /> Lazy Rivers that Transport You to the Different Pools <br /> Crowdedness of Memory Square <br /> (High) Diving Boards <br /> Rope Swing <br /> Water Guns <br /> Ziplines <br /> Slides <br /> Kids’Games, <br /> Splash Pools <br /> Movie Night <br /> Open Space for Picnics <br /> Bocce Ball <br /> Sand Volleyball <br /> Food Sales <br /> Sauna/Steam Room <br /> Lockers: Outdoor vs. Indoor, Free with Your Own Lock <br /> Separation of Pools (Senior/Therapeutic/Kids/Lap) <br /> Dry Playground <br /> Olympic Sized Pool <br /> Multi-Purpose Field <br /> Soccer Nets <br /> Deep to Shallow Progression <br /> Obstacle Course <br /> Soft Grass <br /> Trees <br /> Cornhole <br /> Zorb Balls
