Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda:

From Mark: Community sustainability newsletter form Lea Yancey – recommend subscription
From Mary Ann: Consider using Boy Scout troop for other sustainability projects .

VI. Jay’s Minute: Two relevant approvals from Council:
1) Alkonis (on HWY 42 just north of S. Boulder Rd) property Boulder Country Housing Authority
project. [~ 200 units, 70 are senior oriented, 130 family oriented with a small portion sectioned off to
artist cohousing group] – Council annexed, initial zoning and initial grants/subsidies from city.
2) Phase 2 of DELO (Downtown East Louisville, Griffith to South) 70 townhouses, 130 mostly studio
and 1br and 30sqft of commercial, would have been RTD station, city is putting an underpass for the
railroad near south street, Issue: no composting because it’s considered a commercial building (not
covered by Western). No PUD accepted yet.
VII. Dave’s Minute: year-end annual energy summary was put in council, data available to public.
Attended boulder county resource board. Justine: presented a ppt, Robin from Sister Carmen’s and Boy Scouts in
attendance. Mary Ann gave an overview of garden.
Roadmap comments seemed positive. Some discussion of where we used to be as a leader in the
community versus where we are now. Keep working on roadmap.
