OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, passed out a memorandum from the City Attorney regarding the <br />follow-up to the discussion that Council had at the last work session regarding posting of an advisory <br />question on the November ballot regarding the public support or non-support of the establishment <br />of scheduled airline service to Jefferson County Airport. The steps were outlined and it could be <br />done by resolution. The ballot question would be prepared for Council's consideration at the <br />September 5 Council meeting. <br /> <br />Davidson asked the City Attorney to bring suggested ballot language to the next work session on <br />August 23. <br /> <br />Simmons passed out a summary from the Boulder County Affordable Housing Trust Task Force. <br />Ronda Kelley, Management Assistant, had attended the meeting. The County Commissioners will <br />be holding a public meeting on August 22 to get feed-back and will make their decision by August <br />29 as to whether or not this question will be on the November ballot. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />Levihn stated that DRCOG is looking for Councilmembers who would like to try to influence their <br />congressional leaders. <br /> <br />Davidson was in receipt of a letter from Pacific Retail Partners, Home Depot, requesting a cash in- <br />lieu-of payment for the open space dedication of $186,868. Davidson suggested Council encourage <br />Home Depot to use that money to landscape Hwy. 36 right-of-way rather than the cash. <br /> <br />Mayer wanted to see a landscape plan first with costs, etc. <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, stated that it was in process and suggested that some of the <br />moneys be added to facilities under construction at this point. <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br />
