If approved by City Council, Ordinance <br />#981 is subject to voter approval on Tuesday, <br />March 21, 1989. <br />Carnival moved and Anderson seconded to place <br />Ordinance #981, Series 1989 out for publication <br />and a public hearing set for February 7, 1989. <br />Motion passed 6-0. <br />OTHER: <br />REQUEST TO REFER ANNEXATION REQUEST TO PLANNING <br />COMMISSION Stahl explained that owner, Snow Goose <br />Investments, has petitioned for annexation of <br />approximately 140 acres of land (in three separate <br />parcels) located at the intersection of North 95th <br />Street (S.H. 42) and Arapahoe Road (S.H. 7). <br />Franklin explained that contiguity is achieved by <br />way of North 95th Street and proposed zoning is <br />PCZD, Planned Community Zone District. Land uses <br />proposed include commercial/office on the corner <br />property and residential on the 80 acre parcel <br />north of that intersection with open space and <br />buffering. The development plan and the zoning <br />request will be considered by the Commission if <br />Council elects to refer this on to the Commission. <br />Mayor Fauson moved and Ferrera seconded to refer <br />the Snow Goose Investments annexation petition to <br />Planning Commission. Motion passed 6-0. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE <br />REPORTS Anderson noted that Commissioner Page is <br />attempting to put together a program that will <br />bring the Mayors together through the Consortium <br />for the purpose of discussing common interests. <br />Anderson also related that two Consortium cities <br />are having recall elections (Lyons and Nederland), <br />and Lafayette is voting this evening on their <br />proposed recreation center. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Fauson called a 10 minutes recess to clear <br />the room for an Executive Session. <br />ADJOURNMENT After the Executive Session and with no further <br />business, Mayor Fauson moved that the meeting <br />adjourn.
