The W-470 Authority Board <br /> meets on April 19th and the City is conducting a <br /> public hearing on April 20th. Ms. Monson feels it <br /> important to hear from Mr. Wurl as soon as <br /> possible as to the future of the Authority. <br /> Mohr, the City's representative on the W-470 <br /> Authority Board, stated he would take that <br /> suggestion to the Authority to see if it would be <br /> possible to meet any earlier than the May 2nd <br /> meeting. <br /> Arti Mullen, 732 Grant, requested Council withdraw <br /> from the W-470 Authority as the voters turned down <br /> the financing mechanism suggested and Mr. Mullen <br /> feels dollars should be put into mass transit. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE <br />REPORTS Mayor Fauson reminded everyone of the Special <br /> Municipal Election tomorrow regarding an increase <br />to th <br />Cit <br />' <br /> e <br />y <br />s sales tax. <br />Ferrera stated that there has been mis-information <br />and some publicity about the City's financial <br />well-being and soundness. Ferrera asked that <br />staff prepare a financial statement to clear up <br />any misinformation that is circulating. <br />Sackett asked Mohr if he could obtain specific <br />information regarding the accounting of funds that <br />the W-470 Authority has obtained from member <br />cities. Mohr stated that the loan money the <br />Authority obtained from the member cities was to <br />be repaid from any financing mechanism that was <br />approved. However, the voters turned down a <br />proposed financing mechanism, but does not reflect <br />on the repayment of that loan by any future <br />financing mechanism/funding that may occur. Mohr <br />stated that there are questions that he would have <br />to present to the Authority, i.e., if they money <br />would be repaid if Louisville withdrew from the <br />Authority. Sackett also asked that Mohr pose the <br />question if Louisville should withdraw now, could <br />they re-join the Authority at a later date. Mohr <br />stated that this is a serious issue and felt there <br />should in an in-depth survey and discussion of the <br />6 <br />
