Mayor Fauson moved and Ferrera seconded to approve the Steinbaugh Lease Purchase Agreement and First Phase Parking Lot Improvements. Motion passed 6-0. ORDINANCE AGREEMENT SET PUBLIC #995, SERIES 1989 - AMENDMENT TO E-911 INTERGOVERNMENTAL - 1ST READING, HEARING Read by title only, Ordinance #995, Series 1989, "An Ordinance repealing and reenacting a portion of Ordinance No. 922 with respect to imposition of an emergency telephone charge upon telephone exchange access facilities within the City of Louisville." APPOINTMENT TO REGIONAL AIR CONTROL COUNCIL Ordinance #995 has been drafted to amend .Ordinance #922 with respect to the imposition of an emergency telephone charge upon telephone exchange access facilities within the City of Louisville. The amendment only concerns inconsistencies between Ordinance #922 and the Intergovernmental Agreement concerning the implementation of the E-911 Emergency Telephone Service. Staff is recommending Ordinance #995 be placed out for publication and set a public hearing for August 15, 1989. Mohr moved and Anderson seconded to place Ordinance #995, Series 1989 out for publication and a public hearing set for August 15, 1989. Motion passed 6-0. QUALITY Stahl explained that DRCOG has requested Council submit the name of one elected official to be considered for appointment to the Regional Air Quality Council (RAQC). Councilman Sackett, Louisville's DRCOG representative and member of the Executive Committee, has indicated he would like to be nominated by City Council. Mayor Fauson stated that there would be many recommendations from other municipalities to DRCOG's Air Quality Council and asked that a letter accompany the application recommending Mr. Sackett and asked for Council's unanimous approval requesting his appointment. Mayor Fauson moved and Anderson seconded to nominate John Sackett for consideration by DRCOG for appointment to the Regional Air Quality Council. Motion passed 6-0.
