have also been placed in the newspapers <br />including a map in the Boulder Camera's <br />Closeup showing the location of the site. <br />Council commended Mr. Huey for his <br />contribution and efforts in making this <br />program a success. <br />CHANGE MEETING DATE FOR 1ST COUNCIL <br />MEETING IN AUGUST Stahl reminded Council that the Special <br />Election regarding the Hillandale annexation <br />is being conducted on August 1, 1989, the <br />same night as Council's regular meeting and <br />suggested that Council change the first <br />meeting in August to August 2, 1989. <br />Mayor Fauson moved and Ferrera seconded to <br />move the first meeting in August to August 2, <br />1989. Motion passed 6-0. <br />OTHER: <br />GOLF COURSE SIGN ON US 36 Stahl explained that the drawings for special <br />project sign on US 36 for the Coal Creek <br />project including the golf course will be <br />submitted very soon and reviewed by staff <br />prior to locating on the site. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS None. <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE <br />REPORTS <br />Sackett and Stahl discussed the year-to-date <br />financial report. Stahl stated that the 1989 <br />budget reflects 145 building permits and <br />current projections call for 160 permits. <br />The additional funds would be carried over to <br />next year. <br />Anderson informed Council that the Department <br />of Local Affairs has an energy impact <br />assistance grant program and there will be <br />$3-4 million available statewide in November. <br />Anderson encouraged the City to put together <br />a grant proposal. The County Consortium of <br />Cities Board is the local review team for <br />prioritizing the proposals for this area. <br />Anderson stated that at the last Consortium <br />meeting, Commissioner Page called for an Open <br />Space Task Force and will be advertising for <br />appointments. Anderson asked the City be a <br />part of this committee and apply to the <br />Commissioners. <br />
