In order to
formalize the procurement process, Construction
Services, working under the direction of the
Library, has prepared proposal documents for
distribution to interested vendors of Library
equipment.
Anderson moved and Sackett seconded to authorize,
subject to approval by the City Attorney of the
proposal, equipment bids for Library furniture,
fixtures and equipment. Motion carried.
ANNEXATION REFERRAL Franklin explained that the City has received
requests for annexation of several properties
generally located on South 96th Street (State
Highway 42) north of South Boulder Road. The
property owners are: Fred and Dana Echohawk and
Arlin D. Lehman; Lockett E. Wood and Donna J. Wood;
A.L. and Elizabeth H. Pritschau; Wayne K. and Sharon
A. Anderson; Rollin E. and Genevieve H. Anderson;
and Robert M. Lorenz. Another parcel on which a
church is located may be included in this referral
prior to going to Planning Commission should their
Board vote to request annexation by the City.
Mayor Fauson moved and Carnival seconded to refer
the above annexation requests to Planning Commission
for review and recommendation. Motion carried.
PRESS CONFERENCE Stahl stated that there would be a Press Conference
scheduled at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the
Council Chambers to discuss a new business locating
to the City of Louisville.
PUBLIC COMMENTS Margaret Hornbostel, 655 W. Hawthorn, requested that
Council consider Phase II funding in the upcoming
budget CIP considerations as well as additional
funding for staffing of the new facility.
Stahl explained that once the facility is on-line
the first quarter of next year, it will take a
couple of years to analyze when, according to
growth, Phase II would become essential. After
review of the staffing proposal with the Library
Director, Stahl feels that the level of staffing is
sufficient. If significant circulation increases
occur, the staffing level will be re-assessed.
COUNCIL COMMENTS AND COMMITTEE
REPORTS Sackett asked the status of the citizen survey.
Stahl stated that the time-line is on schedule with
results back to Council by the second meeting in
December.
7
