City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 19, 2015 <br />Page 19 of 34 <br />Mayor Muckle supported Council member Stolzmann's suggestion to apply the same <br />condition to everyone. He could support Council member Keany's suggested condition. <br />He asked the applicants if the condition was acceptable. Erik Hartronft supported the <br />condition, but agreed it should be standardized for everyone in the downtown area. He <br />thanked Jean Morgan for her contributions to the grain elevator. <br />Mayor Muckle also thanked all the citizens who have been involved in preserving the <br />grain elevator and for supporting the historic preservation tax. <br />RESOLUTION No. 29, SERIES 2015 <br />MOTION: Council member Keany moved to approve Resolution No. 29, Series 2015, <br />with the following modification: Strike condition #2; and revising condition #1 to read: <br />The outdoor area shall be limited between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and midnight and <br />outside music shall be limited to 10:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday evenings. <br />Mayor Pro Tem Dalton seconded the motion. <br />City Attorney Light reviewed the additional terms added to Condition #1: "and outside <br />amplified music shall be limited to no later than 10:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday." <br />He offered a friendly amendment to add other provisions in the Louisville Municipal <br />Code to provide control. Council member Keany and Mayor Pro Tem Dalton accepted <br />the amendment. <br />VOTE: All were in favor. Absent: Council member Loo. <br />RESOLUTION No. 30, SERIES 2015 <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle moved to approve Resolution No. 30, Series 2015, seconded <br />by Mayor Pro Tem Dalton. All were in favor. Absent: Council member Loo. <br />Council member Stolzmann felt the Council should direct staff to bring back a standard <br />for outdoor noise in the downtown area, and Economic Development Director DeJong <br />should follow -up with the applicant on the urban renewal process for possible tax <br />increment funding for their project. <br />Director DeJong reported that he has a number of conversations with the applicant <br />about pursuing an application for urban renewal funds. <br />REVIEW AND CONFIRMATION OF ALTERNATIVE LAND USE SCENARIOS AND <br />MAIN STREET AND CENTENNIAL DRIVE INTERSECTION ALIGNMENTS TO BE <br />STUDIED AS PART OF THE SOUTH BOULDER ROAD SMALL AREA PLAN <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation and noted Council approval is being asked <br />for the next step in the study.
