City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 19, 2015 <br />Page 2 of 34 <br />Jaime Moss, 936 Jefferson Avenue, Louisville, CO spoke about the South Boulder <br />Road small area plan. She expressed concern the Council might not consider the <br />community input for more commercial or retail use rather than the high density plan. <br />Mixed use in DELO turned into high density residential when the community needs <br />more retail space for tax base. She asked Council to consider what citizens said. <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />MOTION: Mayor Muckle moved to approve the consent agenda, seconded by Council <br />Member Keany. All were in favor. Absent: Council member Loo. <br />A. Approval of Bills <br />B. Approval of Minutes —May 5, 2015 <br />C. Approval of Shortel Telephone Procurement <br />D. Approve Cancelation of May 26, 2015 Study Session <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />Mayor Muckle reported he and Deputy City Manager Balser and Economic Director <br />DeJong had just returned from the International Shopping Center Convention. They <br />received good reports from Home Depot and a variety of others whose sales are stable <br />and going well. There was conversation with some brokers who have been waiting for <br />the right time to explore moving to Louisville. He thought it was a productive trip. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />City Manager Fleming noted Coal Creek is full but the golf course is currently okay. <br />Staff will continue to monitor. Results of a study by the Urban Drainage and Flood <br />Control District should be available soon. The results will help determine what drainage <br />and flood control measures might be implemented and effective in the area. <br />This is Emerald Ash Borer week. Trees are marked around town to show their value, <br />not that they are affected currently. The web site gives information on how to identify <br />the ash trees and what to do if residents are concerned about any infestation. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />COAL CREEK COURSE GRAND RE- OPENING <br />Mayor Muckle requested a staff presentation. <br />25 <br />
