She expressed concern the Council might not consider the community input for more commercial or retail use rather than the high density plan. Mixed use in DELO turned into high density residential when the community needs more retail space for tax base. She asked Council to consider what citizens said. Approve Cancelation of May 26, 2015 Study Session COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA Mayor Muckle reported he and Deputy City Manager Balser and Economic Director DeJong had just returned from the International Shopping Center Convention. They received good reports from Home Depot and a variety of others whose sales are stable and going well. There was conversation with some brokers who have been waiting for the right time to explore moving to Louisville. He thought it was a productive trip. CITY MANAGER'S REPORT City Manager Fleming noted Coal Creek is full but the golf course is currently okay. Staff will continue to monitor. Results of a study by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District should be available soon. The results will help determine what drainage and flood control measures might be implemented and effective in the area. This is Emerald Ash Borer week. Trees are marked around town to show their value, not that they are affected currently. The web site gives information on how to identify the ash trees and what to do if residents are concerned about any infestation.
