Cultural Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />21 May 2015 <br />Page 4 of 4 <br /> <br />March or April in 2016. Stories on Stage is another LCC/Library joint <br />effort, led by the LCC, will be October 1st. <br />• Movie Committee: Considering an independent film or something <br />through the Art Underground for Saturday, October 3rd. The resident <br />survey has the highest level of interest for films. Blake and Sue are <br />joining the film committee. <br />• Marketing Committee: For the Summer Concert series, focusing <br />marketing efforts on Blues Brothers and Filonius Smith. Darin is leading <br />the marketing project. Blake has the poster underway for the entire <br />series. <br />• Cultural Arts Master Plan Committee: Next meeting is June 1st. One <br />citizen was surprised by the mention of religious events in the CAMP <br />survey. However, the city does not fund those efforts. <br />• Sculpture Garden Committee: No report <br /> <br />City Council Report – lots of planning activities underway. <br /> <br />Staff Updates – <br />• FasTRACKS RTD – All 4 applicants will be serving on the committee for <br />Louisville. Artist applications will likely be available on CaFé within a few <br />months. <br />• Center for the Arts office: Reconfiguring underway – furniture has been <br />changed. <br />• LCC Artwork in Storage: Will be hanging in public places. <br />• Zero Waste – Containers in the Arts Center. <br />• Louisville Arts District – Laddy Lane work is underway (alley between <br />library and Bittersweet); public art will be included (e.g. murals). An RFP <br />will be issued for the art. A representative from LCC is requested; <br />Suzanne is on the committee. <br />• Labor Day Festival – Lantern walk is no longer on the table. <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman’s Report – Nothing new report. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting – June meeting: Young Songwriter’s <br />Workshop – Joan Langford will be proposing at the June 8th meeting. Bridget <br />Bacon - Museum Coordinator will be presenting on what will be happening in <br />July’s meeting. <br /> <br />Adjourn – The meeting was adjourned at 8:34 pm. <br />-- For approval -- <br />
