A. During the June Meeting, OSAB will review the Priority Area ranking results, <br />discuss together and recommend a final priority ranking to staff and the Parks <br />& Recreation Director, to consider for their budget development process. <br />C. During the June meeting, OSAB will review the preferred top 3 ideas <br />suggested by colleagues and use sticker voting to select top 3 for each priority <br />area, discussion together and recommend a final Top 3 ideas list per category <br />to staff and the Director of Parks &Recreation to consider and incorporate into <br />their budget development process. <br />a. Example: Increase education programs for adults <br />b. Example: Continue Ranger program /position <br />c. Example: Increase response time to trail damage <br />d. Example: Increase staffing for resource management <br />Next Steps: <br />1) Staff will review OSAB recommendations and develop a budget to reflect <br />OSAB's priorities. <br />2) These changes will be submitted to the Department Director (in June) who will <br />review recommendations and create and submit a prioritized list of Department <br />requests to the City Manager (in July /August). <br />3) The City Manager will put together a recommended budget for City Council <br />consideration. This recommended budget will not include every request, but <br />rather it will include what the City can afford. The City Council will review the <br />recommended budget and make changes they see fit (in September /October). <br />4) Once the Budget is adopted (in November) staff will share the results with <br />OSAB at the following board meeting. <br />• Page 2 <br />14 <br />
