1 <br />CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> June 17, 2015 <br /> <br />APPLICANT: Eric Berger <br /> <br />OWNER: Same <br /> <br />STAFF PLANNER: Scott Robinson, Planner II <br /> <br />LOCATION: 2146 Garfield Avenue, Lot 162, Louisville North 1 <br /> <br />ZONING: Residential Estate (RE) <br /> <br />REQUEST: Case #15-016-VA – Approval of a variance from Section <br />17.12.040 of the Louisville Municipal Code (LMC) to allow an 8 <br />foot side yard setback where a 10 feet side yard setback is <br />required. <br /> <br />SUMMARY OF PROPOSAL: <br />The applicant, Eric Berger, requests a variance from the 10 foot side yard setback <br />requirement, established in the Residential Estate (RE) zoned district, to allow for an <br />addition to an existing house. If approve the addition will be located approximately 8 feet <br />from the southern property line. The request was previously heard and approved in Mach, <br />2014, but the approval has expired so the applicant has reapplied with the same request. <br />
