Kathy recapped the board members whose terms are up in January and
asked the board member to inform her if they plan to resign.

Wendy talked about starting a web site. We can use the city web site so
we need to try and coordinate. We could post event reports and track our
volunteers. We could also post forms such as proposal guidelines, event
report templates, etc.

VIII. Treasurers Report - Sandra Lilja will be meeting with Tara from the
bookkeeping service next week. In addition, we are still waiting to get
event reports. Wendy will contact David and ask him to send information
to Don or Julie, who volunteered to write up his event reports.

IX. City Council Updates - None

X. City Staff Update - Kathy talked about the Sept. Coffeehouse Concert and
gave Wendy a check. Julie needs people to request dates for the
facilities. She is doing it for a six month period now instead of yearly.
November 3 and 9 are no longer needed. Reviewed dates that we still
need. Chairs are being cleaned and the city will look at replacing them
next year.

Art Center Issues - It was suggested that dimmers be put on all the light
switches. Dimmers can mess with the PA system so we need to be
careful with installing dimmers. The stage lights and sound system is
owned by Coal Creek. Maybe we should put a plan in place for lighting.
Some people have requested us using risers; however risers are hard to
set up.

XI. Public relations update - Julie announced that there are 550 people on
the e-mail newsletter.

XII. Arts center steering committee- Don announced that they are kind of in a
valley. The chamber is involved and trying to find some more sponsors.
They are trying to set up some sub committees. They worked on defining
what they wanted for an arts center. The thought of creating a taxing
district does not seem to be viable to Don. The board discussed the
possibilities for the events center.

XIII. Sponsorship - none

XIV. Brainstorming - We talked about how to increase the attendance at the
poetry workshops.
