Don has worked on trying to get a seniors dance class with the recreation
center but has not had any luck so he was hoping that LCC would be able
to do the event. Kathy mentioned the rec center has worked with Balfour
in the past and that perhaps we work with them to try and get senior
involvement.

The librarian would like to have art work at the library and wanted to know
if we could help bring some art into the library. It was suggested that she
work with LAA.

Maryan knows a woman who runs a youth performing group and is also
an opera singer. Maryan
got the name of someone to teach hip-hop.

b. Upcoming Fall events - Another coffeehouse concert on Nov. 2
featuring Laura and Thereza. There is also going to be a ballroom
dance event and silent movie in Nov. and children's concert in
December. Boulder Magazine wants to include our events in their
magazine. Get the info to Julie K. and she will forward it to the
magazine. We may want to do more regular events for kids.
Maybe we should have a story telling event. Ideas about different
story tellers were given.

There was a discussion about how much money we were going to
give to the Senior Cultural Cafe. Last year LCC gave them 25% of
our total SCFD funds. However this year, our SCFD funds were cut
by about 32% - from $8800 to $6000. And, LCC does not make
