The Housing Authority of the City of Louisville <br />will accomplish its mission through: community collaboration, effective sen'ices and <br />programs, professional organization, efficient resource management, and the expansion of <br />funding sources. <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: Jay Keany, Terri Abbott, Scott McKenzie, Doris Fasbender <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: Callan Childs <br /> <br /> <br />Alternate Commissioners Absent: Steve Underhill <br /> <br />Staff Present: Frank Alexander, Executive Dire <br />Corbat, Accountant; Susan C'JtUtzmacher, Admims-T <br /> <br /> <br />. a Bangs, Finance Manager; Mary <br />Division J\tIanager <br /> <br />Others Present: Sheri Marsella, City Council Liaison; Heather Balser, Assistant City Manager <br />for Governmental Relations; City of Louisville <br /> <br />Call to OrdeJ' <br />Meeting was callt~d to order at 8:06 a.m. by Jay Keany, Chair. <br /> <br />Approval ~f the Agenda <br />Agenda for December 18th meeting passed and approved. <br /> <br />November 29,2007 Minutes approved. <br /> <br />Matters from Members of the Public** <br />Jean- Sunnyside resident was present at the meeting and requested to speak Jean is concerned <br />about smoking issue. Second hand smoke comes into her unit from neighbor. In addition, Scott <br />McKenzie spoke to the concerns of secondhand smoke that he has experienced in his unit as <br />well. One car at Sunnyside has had temporary plates since October and now has no plates. Jean <br />will notify Sally and let her take the next steps. <br /> <br />Director's Re ort <br />H ceived 45% of survey responses, about 200 units. About 70-75% want to ban smoking. <br />Surveys are still coming in and data has not been analyzed yet. Second survey due on 12/22. <br />Will bring data at next board meeting. <br /> <br />Boulder County Housing Authority received 3 grants from HOD for Resident services, including <br />grants for the Family Self-Sufficiency programs and Housing Counseling program. These grants <br />have funded 3 positions, expanding from one position. The services are delivered countywide. <br />Staffhas still not encountered any additional grants for senior services. <br />
