<br />Open Space Advisory Board <br />Minutes <br />DATE <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br />Staff Updates - Scott Robson reported. <br /> <br />1. Kathy Martin has been named the Interim Director of the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation. <br /> <br />2. Ember has noted an increased interest in the Adopt a Park, Trail, or <br />Landscape program. <br /> <br />3. New signs have been installed at all Louisville Open Space properties. <br /> <br />4. A new staff position has been approved for an Open Space tech. <br />Announcements and recruitment will occur soon. <br /> <br />5. Scott Robson presented Ted Kowalski with a Certificate of Appreciation <br />for three years of service on OSAB. <br /> <br />Board Updates- <br />David Waldman thanked Scott Robson for excellent service and guidance to <br />OSAB and also thanked Ted Kowalski for his service. <br />David Waldman reported that he has had several conversations with the <br />Takoda developer and City staff regarding the potential trail underpass <br />under the BNSF tracks. Developer Rick Brew indicated that he would <br />include a stipulation in the development plan that a portion of the <br />development fees be directed toward that project. <br />David Waldman announced that he is not seeking reinstatement on the <br />board for the next term. <br />Tom Davinroy reported several observations of a citizen cutting wood from <br />the wood lot at the west end of the Warembourg Open Space and <br />requested staff guidance on how best to report it. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting - <br />1. Welcome of new members. <br />2. Election of Officers <br />3. Presentation from Police and Code Enforcement departments on how <br />infractions on open space are handled. <br />4. New Member orientation. <br /> <br />Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 9:00. <br />
