<br />Historic Preservation Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />January 16, 2008 <br />Page 6 of 12 <br /> <br />Wilson stated it may not be a specific decision it just gradually became clear they <br />couldn't save the fayade and meet educational specifications within the budget available. <br /> <br />Ty Gee asked if the school district could email a notice about the DA T meeting to <br />parents so they are aware of it. He added that he felt it should have been the district's <br />responsibility to get information out about the DA T process, not expect DA T members to <br />do it themselves. <br /> <br />Orr stated the school district would advertise the meeting to the larger community and try <br />to get the word out. <br /> <br />Bonnie McCormick, 1301 Lincoln Avenue, asked for some clarification <br />original building assessment was completed and asked why if the pro <br />2003 with the building assessment, why is the community only now lea <br />proposed demolition. <br /> <br />Orr stated that the demolition decision was only made in the s <br /> <br /> <br />2007. <br /> <br />Billy O'Donnell stated that the DA T's first goal was to <br />education specifications, secondly they wanted to com .n under budget, and thirdly on <br />schedule. He noted <br />that the school district I Iso hearing a great deal of support for the original design and <br />decision. There are diffen g values in the community and the school district is listening <br />to all parties taking input seriously. He noted they are trying to be open and <br />transpare the project. <br /> <br /> <br />, Wilson, and O'Donnell for attending the meeting, sharing the <br />e HPC, and calling another meeting at the school. <br /> <br />O'Donnell noted that the good thing is that no final decision has been made. <br /> <br />Megan Valentine asked how the new meeting will be advertised. <br /> <br />Orr noted it will be on the BVSD web site. Muth added that the information will also be <br />placed on the City's web site. <br /> <br />At 9:05 PM Lewis called for a five minute recess. <br />
