Lead abatement, siding repairs, insulation in ceiling and attics, and <br />chimney repairs will need to be completed before painting of buildings <br />7. Railings for the new Tomeo House ramp will be metal <br />B. Community Education - Annual Historical Society Program will be scheduled <br />for early May and will be cosponsored by the Louisville Public Library in <br />connection with the Library's One Book, One Boulder County program <br />featuring the book Rocket Boys by Homer Hickam. Sybil Downing, author of <br />Fire in the Hole, will be the guest speaker. <br />C. Events and Fundraising (Donna) - Annual planning meeting will be <br />Wednesday, February 20,2008, 12:00 p.m. in the City Hall Spruce <br />D. Membership (Dan) <br />1. 78 out of 100 family or individual memberships have bee <br />2. 10 out of 24 Business Sponsorships have been renewed <br />3. There are three new Business Sponsors <br />4. 6 out of 11 recipients of complimentary memberships have become <br />paying members <br />5. There are approximately 380 Historical Society members at this time <br />6. Dan Mellish will be contacted regarding a promotional spot for <br />memberships on Channel 8 <br />E. Volunteers (Sally) - Sally Burlingame an um volunteer Mary Kay Knorr <br />will attend the ANFRM meeting for museu nteers at the Longmont <br />Museum and Cultural Center on Febr\Jary 11. The Commission will pay for <br />their lunches at $9 each <br />F. Then and Now Photo/Book Project - The Historic Preservation Commission <br />would like to help participat the project. Meeting date to be announced <br />G. Mine Marker Committee - inter 2008 Louisville Historian, Bob <br />Enrietto wrote the article he mine marker program and Melanie Muckle <br />of the Historic Pres tion mmission supplied the accompanying mine <br />chart. <br /> <br /> <br />XIII. Chairperson's R~port (Donna) <br />A. Worksheetl? fd~tracking volunteer hours in 2008 were distributed; it is <br />requested thaleach Commission member keep track of their volunteer hours <br />doing work for the Commission and the Museum <br />B. Goal nd Objectives list for 2008 were distributed <br />C. It was ported that members of City Council have indicated that they would <br />ike a proposal from the Commission of costs and funding needed to open the <br />dinelli House and Summer Kitchen <br />w membership orientation will be discussed at the next meeting <br />laptop computer for Commission work was discussed. The City IT can <br />investigate prices. <br /> <br /> <br />XIV. Commission Comments - The possibility of conducting oral history interviews of <br />Louisville residents were discussed with the question of whether interviews should be on <br />an audio recorder or filmed. This will be discussed at a future meeting. <br /> <br />XV. The Meeting adjourned at 8:55 PM. <br />
