r '~, <br />~, ,~.,, The "Shop Louisville" Campaign <br />~~> <br />January 9, 2008 <br />zvc.corn <br />"SHOP LOUISVILLE" 2008 BUDGET PROPOSAL: PROGRAM DETAILS <br />2008 Program Goals <br />To raise public awareness of the benefits of shopping in Louisville through: <br />• Expanded "Shop Louisville" signage <br />• Continued and extended use of City media (water bill inserts, Town Talk mailing, City <br />websites, Channel 8, etc.) <br />• "Shop Louisville" driven promotional activity and website usage <br />• Presence at City, DBA and Chamber events <br />• Promotion by City Council and City Staff as appropriate in community meetings and <br />other community dialogue <br />2008 Cam_,_pai~n Elements <br />1. "Shop Louisville" Signage <br />Prominent and semi-permanent in high-traffic areas of City where sales tax dollars support <br />municipal services <br />a. Expand existing signage across City recreation and municipal facilities <br />b. Refresh existing signage to improve impact and attention intercept <br />Develop "movable" signage for use in 2008 City events <br />2. "Shop Louisville" Intercept Media <br />Widely available shopper "Take-aways" for shoppers to introduce them to or remind them <br />of the "Shop Louisville" program <br />a. "Shop Louisville" contest cards for merchants, the Rec Center and Library to distribute <br />promoting the current "Shop Louisville" drawing and other "Shop Louisville" <br />promotions as appropriate <br />b. We recommend phasing out the "Shop Louisville" brochures in place of the cards, <br />which we have found to be a more cost effective means of stimulating awareness, <br />interest and site traffic. <br />
