City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />April 28, 2015 <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />Preservation Master Plan will address: <br />• Goals <br />• Projects <br />• Program Operations <br />• Period of Significance <br />• Sustainability of grant program <br />• Outreach and Education <br />HPC would like feedback on the Austin - Niehoff use and funding. <br />Preservation Master Plan schedule — schedule has been altered slightly, would <br />like feedback. <br />HPC funding and Legislative Issues <br />• Continued Support for landmarking and grant program <br />• Legislative issues that arise from Preservation Master Plan <br />• Made some changes to bylaws. <br />Endorsement of goals by council will happen either May 5th or May 19t" <br />A contractor forum is being held that is part of the Master Plan. <br />The code is written that a re -roof requires a demo permit. Council member <br />Stolzmann would like clarification of code on demo and repair. <br />What will it take to get the revolving loan fund going? There was a discussion of <br />how the program will work. Council member Dalton asked for choices to be <br />presented to Council. Are remedies in the Resolution from last year sufficient? <br />There needs to be more discussion in HPC. <br />Have explored creating conference space in Austin Niehof; the building could use <br />a facelift. There was discussion of construction of the building, the period of <br />significance and asbestos. Perhaps the rehab of the building could be a <br />demonstration project. <br />How do people start the process of landmarking their house? Creation of a <br />handout on how the process starts is on the HPC to -do list. Look at the Boulder <br />website to see what is on their website. <br />Council member Dalton asked questions about Historic Structure Assessment <br />architects. There is a pre - qualified list and was compiled through an RFP. <br />
